Message incompatible error

I get short msg from my friends but for some messages I get an error as incompatible message. So can u please send me the solution as soon as possible?

Hi Oomar,
From what you said, I cannot be sure exactly what you are trying to do. Please let me know what phone you have (manufacturer and model number) and more information about the sort of messages you are trying to send/receive?
However, the problem may be caused because your friends are sending you a message that your phone is not capable of receiving - maybe a picture, MMS message, or a message that is too large a file size for your phone. Do you have MMS capability on your phone?
Ask your friends what type of message they were sending you, and what media it contains (e.g. a picture, video, sound, text, etc). This will then give us the chance to see what is going wrong.
In your phone's User Guide, it will explain the sort of messages that your phone can send and receive. If you try to use the phone outside of its capabilities, then you will either get a partial message or some error message, as you have experienced.
