Dear Sir/Madam,
I have mailed and made a complaint about my lost mobile, and you told me to contact my service provider. However, I am living in Dehradun and went to your service centre, but they don’t have any facilities to block my mobile. I have given you my mobile IMEI No. and bill number, but since then no action has been taken.
If you can do this favour for me, and block the SIM of that mobile, I will very grateful to you. Please tell me your service care centre in Dehradun. I am again giving you my mobile model number, IMEI number, and my bill number too.
My mobile was purchased on 16/08/04 from New Nine shop in Dehradun. My bill number is xxx, my model number is Sony Ericsson T-230, and my IMEI No. is xxx, and it is totally tax paid.
I went to the Sony Ericsson shop in Dehradun, but they told me they don’t have any facility to help me. So, I request you to do this favour for me and cut all the services to that mobile.
I hope for a good response from you, and to receive better service care from your side, so that in future I can have faith in you and your company.
I made my first complaint via www.sonyericsson.com, but no action was taken
Thank you,
Uday R

Dear Uday,
First, I must tell you that the Mobile Phone Directory has no connection with Sony Ericsson or any company in India, and so we are unable to block the SIM card of your phone as you ask. The Mobile Phone Directory is based in the UK and was established to provide useful information for users of mobile phones.
The only company that can block the SIM card, or stop services to your phone, is your Service Provider (this is the company that sends you bills for your phone). The name and address of your Service Provider will be written on your bill, and this is where you must send your request to cut the services to your phone. It should be very easy to make them cut the services to your phone, particularly as you say the phone was lost.
Is your Service Provider one of the companies listed on the page below:
http://www.gsmworld.com/roaming/gsminfo/cou_in.shtml
If you go to the website of your Service Provider, then you can usually send them a message from their contact page (as you did when you contacted us).
You say that you went to the Sony Ericsson shop in Dehradun. Sony Ericsson cannot cut the services to your mobile phone (they manufacture and service the phones, but they are not responsible for your contract and telephone services).
This problem is something that you must deal with by contacting your Service Provider.
