Skip contentSeptember 1, Moscow: PlayFon, a leading international provider of wireless entertainment announced reaching 2000-game mark. It is by far the largest collection of mobile games in Russia. Constant inflow of new games from best world developers and publishers allows PlayFon to retain a leading position in the Russian market of wireless applications.
“Such an impressive amount is not end in itself. Thank to our good partner relations with leading game developers and publishers we could easily enlarge our collection even more. However, we set a more ambitious goal of agglomerating the best games. All the games we offer to our customers undergo a diligent selection process” PlayFon Head of Relations Ilya Gorodetsky said.
PlayFon spends a lot of efforts on grouping and grading the games in its portfolio. All games are divided into 15 genres; the ratings based on both sales figures and experts evaluations are constantly updated on multi-language WAP and web portals. “Our objective is to offer our customers the widest collection possible and handy tools to search a game that a particular user wants” Head of Mobile Games department Andrey Minakov commented.
In November 2003 PlayFon pioneered game-vending in the Russian market of wireless applications. Over two-year period the number of games in PlayFon soared twenty-fold. Analysts expect the volume of Russian market of mobile games to reach $20 ml. by the end of 2005. Worldwide sales figures look even more impressive.
