Dual-scan Super Twisted Nematic

Dual-scan Super Twisted Nematic displays are an improved version of the basic STN LCD. They are formed by placing two displays next to each other and scanning each as a separate entity (hence dual-scan) which cuts the number of rows in half and allows for greater contrast - when compared to a similar size STN display - at little extra cost.
