NiCad

Also known as: Nickel Cadmium, NiCd

Nickel Cadmium (NiCd or NiCad) is the earliest form of rechargeable battery used as a power source in wireless phones.

NiCd batteries suffer from memory effect, so they need to be completely discharged before recharging, or the lifetime of the battery may be shortened.
