Ofcom (Office of Communications) is the regulator for the UK communications industries, with responsibilities across the range of television, radio, telecommunications and wireless communications services.

Ofcom replaced five previous UK regulators when it assumed its powers at the end of 2003: the Broadcasting Standards Commission (BSC), the Independent Television Commission (ITC), Oftel, the Radio Authority and the Radiocommunications Agency.
