Synchronisation Channel (SCH) is a downlink GSM Broadcast Channel (BCH).
The SCH is transmitted by a Base Transceiver Station (BTS) to provide the signalling information required by the MS (Mobile Station) to identify and synchronise with a base station. The SCH consists of Primary and Secondary synchronisation channels.
