LG B2050 mobile phone
Skip contentLG B2050 is a tri-band mobile phone, which means it can be used in the USA and most parts of the world. The candy bar phone has a slim and stylish chrome and black case, and it is claimed to be the thinnest model in the LG range. This is also one of the lightest phones on the market, weighing in at a mere 75g including the battery, and so should present no problems when being carried around in a pocket or handbag.
It is obvious that this is a fairly basic model, aimed at the budget market, and it should suit those users who do not want a complicated phone. However, the B2050 does have several useful features, including GPRS and WAP technology, a voice memo recorder (capable of up to 10 recordings, each 20 seconds long), MMS multimedia messaging, and a selection of polyphonic ringtones. There is also a reasonably good CSTN LCD display, capable of a resolution of 128 x 128 pixels and up to 65,536 different colours.
With its MMS messaging capability you can send and receive messages containing a combination of text, images and/or sounds up to a maximum of 100kB in size. It is also possible to personalise the B2050 by changing the wallpaper images on the screen and customising the phone with new ringtones, or you can even download free graphics and photos from the WOW LG website. The phone allows you to identify up to 7 caller groups (up to 20 people per group) with unique ringtones and icons, which will come in handy when you need know if a call is associated with work or from a friend.
The integrated GPRS and WAP 2.0 features of the B2050 mobile phone mean that users can benefit from faster access to the mobile Internet for news, business, entertainment, and other information based services while on the move, as well as offering the chance for faster download of images and ringtones. The RS232 data kit allows you to connect this phone to a computer and to transfer data, pictures, etc.
There are 2 games included with the phone: Action in Life and Halloween Fever. The keypad lights flash and the case vibrates in time with ringtones and the music used in the games, so it can be a lively experience when using this phone. Another helpful feature is the phone’s organiser, which includes such tools as a scheduler, world clock, alarms, calculator, and a unit converter. There are also 6 profiles to adjust the phone to give the best alerts and display settings for different environments or events. This phone has T9™ predictive text input and a vibration alert.
