Motorola C450 mobile phone
Skip contentMotorola C450 is a dual band candy bar styled mobile phone that is based on the earlier C350 model. Among the important features to be found in the C450 are its integrated GPRS and WAP technology, MMS multimedia messaging, Java™ enabled software support, voice control, and polyphonic ringtones.
The display on the Motorola C450 is a CSTN type of passive matrix LCD, and this screen is able to reproduce images with a resolution of 96 x 65 pixels in up to 4,096 different colours. The display enables you to view the pictures you use with this phone, as well as acting as a means for choosing between the phone’s menus. With this phone’s capability to send and receive MMS, you are able to communicate using messages that contain a combination of pictures, sounds and text, and so you can make more of an impact on your contacts by creating a special and personal multimedia message.
The Motorola C450 is capable of being customised to your own tastes by replacing the changeable covers and keypads with others in the range, and in this way you can alter the external appearance of the model. It is also possible to personalise the phone by changing the various themed ringtones, wallpapers and screensavers with others that are available, and new content may be downloaded when you want to give the phone a makeover. This phone even has the capability to create your own unique polyphonic ringtones by using the MotoMixer™ software.
As this phone is Java™ enabled it will run a variety of Java applications and games. Two games are preloaded in the phone, but more games and other applications may be downloaded from a Web page location when you feel the need to try something new.
The GPRS technology integrated into the Motorola C450 provides an “always on” connection to the network, which enables you to benefit from faster call set-up and higher data speeds. Due to this type of packet connection you only pay for the amount of data you actually use, rather than the length of time you are connected to the network. When combined with WAP, this data handling ability gives you good access to the mobile Internet, so that you can benefit from the information and services available via the many WAP sites that are now in operation.
Connectivity with other compatible devices, such as a PC, is possible using a USB data cable. After connection you may transfer files and data between the devices and synchronise your schedules or phonebook information.
