Motorola T720i mobile phone

Motorola T720i is a dual band clamshell styled mobile phone and an updated version of the T720, benefiting from the addition of a plug in camera and MMS multimedia messaging. Other features of the phone are its support for Java™ programs, GPRS and WAP technology, and voice activated dialling.

Motorola T720iThe Motorola T720i has dual displays, with the large internal screen offering a resolution of 120 x 160 pixels in up to 4096 colours. The display allows you to view and then send MMS messages containing pictures, sounds and animations, and there is also the option to engage in real time SMS chat sessions of instant messaging.

The usual opportunity exists to personalise the phone by downloading new wallpapers and screensavers, and there is the facility to change the covers and so alter the phone’s appearance.

The 720i is Java™ enabled, and so you can not only run Java games and applications on the phone, but more can be downloaded, as you need them. Lots of polyphonic ringtones are embedded in the T720i, but you can download more if you prefer to personalise your ringtone sounds, and this can extend even further to composing your own ringtones using the on-board composer.

Mobile Internet access is supplied by a WAP browser and GPRS technology, which allows for faster data transfer rates. An e-mail facility is also provided via the standard protocols of POP3 and SMTP.

The Motorola T720i has good connectivity via USB and RS232 cable links to compatible devices such as your home computer, or PDA, and it is possible to then synchronise your personal data using the supplied TrueSync™ application.

The digital camera is not integrated but it clips onto the phone when needed, and it can provide a couple of image sizes. The camera has an exposure setting for poor light conditions.
