Nokia 3660 mobile phone

Nokia 3660 is a tri-band cameraphone suitable for worldwide roaming. This candy bar styled handset is an upgraded version of the 3650, and like the earlier model this phone has an unusual round keypad area (now with a more conventional key layout), which matches the rounded end of the phone. Among the many features on this phone are its support for Bluetooth™ wireless technology, MMS capability, enabled for the data transfer using GPRS and HSCSD, WAP and XHTML browser, digital sound recorder, speakerphone for hands-free conversations, voice control, video and audio streaming capability, supports the Java™ and Symbian software platforms, and a full e-mail client is also included.

Nokia 3660The 3660 has a large LCD display with a good standard of resolution at 176 x 208 pixels, and this screen is able to reproduce up to 65,536 different colours. The display provides good and clear views of pictures taken with the camera, gives better presentation of the choices when selecting phone menus, and also provides better visibility for the WAP browser pages you access.

With its MMS capability the Nokia 3660 can be used to combine a picture, video clip, text, and a voice clip, so that you can send the complete message by MMS or e-mail to compatible phones or PCs. The video recording and playback capability, together with digital audio recording, gives this phone a useful role when you need to send a MMS message to show some unique event you have just witnessed.

The phone’s onboard VGA (640 x 480 pixels resolution) camera is capable of taking good photographs as well as acting as a video camera. The support for RealOne Player™ and RealMedia™ file formats means that this phone can share the same media as your computer.

Being Java™ enabled, and using a Symbian operating system, the 3660 is able to run a wide range of Java games and applications, and more of these programs can be downloaded when you need to use something new.

With its high-speed data transfer capabilities, the 3660 makes use of GPRS and HSCSD technology to give instant access to the mobile Internet, and you can use the phone’s WAP capabilities to browse for sites that offer you the services and information that interest you. The phone also has a full e-mail client, which uses the standard POP3, IMAP4 and SMTP protocols.

The 3660 has good connectivity via its wireless interfaces, being able to connect to compatible devices by Bluetooth™ or infrared links. The phone can then exchange files and data with a PC, PDA or other phone, and so share pictures, sounds or ringtones, etc.
