Nokia 6220 mobile phone
Skip contentNokia 6220 is a tri-band cameraphone suitable for worldwide roaming, which is fashioned in a classic Nokia candy bar style body. Amongst this mobile phone’s good range of desirable features several stand out, such as its support for EDGE, GPRS and HSCSD technology, an FM radio, voice memo recorder, MMS capability, Java™ enabled, speakerphone for hands-free conversations, voice control, and an e-mail client.
The phone’s display is an LCD screen with a resolution of 128 x 128 pixels, and this supports up to 4096 different colours. The screen gives you good viewing of menus and images that you use on the phone, which is particularly useful in the case of the MMS messages, as the phone allows you to exchange video, audio, images and text with compatible devices.
The 6220 has an integrated digital camera with a resolution of 352 x 288 pixels, which is handy when you want to create your own multimedia messages. Another feature that will appeal to many users if the ability to record and playback video clips, and it is a simple matter to then send those video clips to others as part of an MMS message.
In keeping with Nokia’s approach to allow you to customise their phones, there is the possibility of putting your personal style into the phone by changing the covers, with a choice of several different designs. You can also download new ringtones, wallpapers, images or animations to alter the appearance and sound of your phone.
Two games and several applications come preloaded in the Nokia 6220, but as this phone is Java™ enabled you have the opportunity to download new games and applications to keep up with your latest needs.
With its EDGE, GPRS and HSCSD data connectivity, the Nokia 6220 provides you with a fast means to browse the Internet and send messages. The onboard WAP and XHTML browser gives you a full-colour interface and a convenient way to access the Web pages you need. A built-in e-mail client also provides you with good mobile access to normal e-mail services that use the standard POP3, IMAP4 and SMTP protocols.
For transferring files and synchronising your data, you also have a choice of how to link up with compatible PCs and PDAs, and you can use either the wireless infrared or data cable alternatives.
