Nokia 6230i mobile phone
Skip contentNokia 6230i is a tri-band cameraphone, so making it suitable for global roaming. This mobile phone comes in the same candy bar styled case as its predecessor the 6230. In fact the outer design has hardly changed at all, and so users who are familiar with this model will not notice any immediate differences - the dimensions are unaltered, and there is only a 2 gram increase in weight. However, inside the phone there have been several significant improvements, notably the new camera, an improved display, Push-To-Talk, and a larger internal memory. There are a number of improvements which will continue to keep this handset in the market as one of the best all-round models available. It has proved popular with business and personal users alike, and is likely to continue for some time to come.
As this phone is intended to appeal to business users, it is obviously going to pack in quite a lot of the features that would be expected from an accessory for busy people on the move, a mobile office assistant in effect. The 6230i does not disappoint, including a great selection of tools, and more of the features that made the original 6230 such a popular phone. Among the features in the 6230i are Bluetooth™ connectivity, EDGE technology, WAP 2.0 and xHTML browser, MMS multimedia messaging, video camcorder, video and audio streaming, MP3 music player, MMC (MultiMediaCard) slot, FM stereo radio, voice memo recorder, speakerphone for hands-free conversations, Java™ enabled, voice control, and an e-mail client. The voice control feature makes use of voice recognition software, and offers a better than usual number of 25 presets for voice dialling and 16 commands for controlling the phones operation.
