Samsung SGH-E400 mobile phone

Samsung SGH-E400 is a tri-band mobile phone with a standard clamshell design. Among the features included in this phone there is its support for GPRS and WAP technology, Java™ capability, active flip, and a good choice of polyphonic ringtones. This phone does not support MMS messaging, but it is EMS enabled to send and receive simple pictures and sounds.

Samsung SGH-E400The phone comes with dual colour displays, which is now more or less a standard feature on most clamshell designs. The main internal display is one of Samsung’s UFB (Ultra Fine and Bright) screens, which has a resolution of 128 x 144 pixels and can reproduce up to 65,536 different colours. The smaller external screen indicates that you have a call, as well as displaying the time and date and any alarms you have set.

As the E400 is Java™ enabled it can run a variety of Java applications and games programs. The phone comes preloaded with 4 games, but it is possible to download more games and applications, either over-the-air or from a PC. Although there is a good choice of polyphonic ringtones supplied, you can download more if you wish, and also add more personalisation to the phone by downloading new wallpapers, screensavers or graphic images.

This phone has built-in support for GPRS and WAP technology, which means it has the capability to be “always on”, and to provide faster data transfer and access to the mobile Internet. With the chance to browse the WAP sites now available, you will be able to seek any information or services that you need while out and about. These services might include the latest news, details about traffic and weather, or shopping and entertainment sites.

Connectivity to the E400 is either via a wireless infrared link or by the standard serial data cable. With a connection established to a compatible device, such as a PC or PDA, then you are able to synchronise your personal files and schedules, or you might exchange pictures or other files and data between the phone and computer.
