Samsung SGH-S300 mobile phone

Samsung SGH-S300 is a clamshell style tri-band mobile phone for use worldwide. Amongst the phone’s features are its support for GPRS and WAP technology, Java™ capability, lots of polyphonic ringtones, and EMS messaging.

Samsung SGH-S300There are dual screens on the S300: a large internal 128 x 160 pixels, 65,536 colours LCD display that provides good viewing for pictures, games and menus; while the external colour display gives you the time, and allows you to check the identity of callers. Picture messaging over the air is possible using EMS, and animations and sounds can also be sent, although there is no MMS capability.

A large number of polyphonic ringtones come preloaded on the phone, but you can always download some more from the supplied CD-ROM, or over the WAP connection. As the S300 is Java™ enabled, you are able to run Java applications and games, and again, more of these programs may be downloaded via WAP as needed. Four games come preloaded in the S300.

The S300 includes GPRS and WAP technology, and this enables you to access the mobile Internet for all the latest news, sport or weather reports, as well as the entertainment and shopping services available over the Web. GPRS also means you can transfer data faster, the phone has an “always on” appearance, and you only pay for the volume of data sent or received.

There is a wireless infrared connection for setting up data transfer with a PC, PDA, or other compatible device, and you are then able to synchronise your personal information or exchange files.
