Skip contentSamsung SGH-X100 is a dual band candy bar format mobile phone. Among this phone’s useful features are its integrated GPRS and WAP technology, MMS multimedia messaging, Java™ capability for games and applications, and a good selection of polyphonic ringtones.
The LCD display on the X100 is one of Samsung’s UFB (Ultra Fine and Bright) screens, with a resolution of 128 x 128 pixels and a capability to reproduce up to 65,536 different colours. This display provides you with the means to view the phone’s menus and any pictures you want use in your messages. As this phone is MMS enabled, you are able to send and receive messages containing a combination of pictures, images, animations sounds and text.
The X-100 also has an integrated Java™ capability, which allows it to run Java applications and games, and 2 games come preloaded in the handset. When you need more applications or games, then these can be easily downloaded.
The X100’s built-in GPRS technology provides the user with faster data transfer and an “always on” connection, and this means you are charged for the data you use rather than the time connected to the network. The onboard WAP browser gives you the capability to use the mobile Internet, and to search for any information or services that are now available on the many WAP sites. You can also download from WAP pages any pictures and sounds that you wish to use in the phone.
Connectivity is via a standard data cable, which gives you the opportunity to transfer data and files between the phone and a compatible PC or PDA, so you are able to synchronise your personal information, such as a schedule or phonebook details.
