Sony Ericsson T610 mobile phone
Skip contentSony Ericsson T610 is a tri-band cameraphone in a neat candy bar style case. This model is an upgraded version of the T68i and now has a better display and an integrated camera. Among the phone’s features are Bluetooth™ connectivity, integrated GPRS and WAP technology, MMS, voice memo recorder, Java™ enabled, voice control, and a full e-mail client.
The mobile phone has a good-sized LCD colour display with a resolution of 128 x 160 pixels, and this can also reproduce up to 65,536 different colours. The screen can be used to view photos, play games or to see the icon driven menu system that is used in this phone. A joystick navigation control makes it easier to scroll through menus and to play games.
The integrated camera in the Sony Ericsson T610 can take pictures up to a maximum resolution of 288 x 352 pixels, and it also features a night mode for photographing subjects in poor light conditions. A self-timer, and a mirror next to the camera lens, gives you the chance to take self-portraits. Pictures you have taken can also have special effects added to them, so that you can compose your own MMS messages (combining images, sounds and text), and then send them from the phone using the QuickShare™ picture-sharing feature.
The Sony Ericsson T610 can be customised to personal tastes by downloading new content such as ringtones, screensavers, wallpapers and graphics. You can also use pictures taken with the integrated camera and turn these into your own wallpapers or screensavers, or use the photos of your friends in your picture phonebook. You can even create your own ringtones, as this phone comes equipped with a Music DJ application, which allows you to quickly mix sequences of music with bass, drums and chords.
As the Sony Ericsson T610 is Java™ enabled, it will run Java games as well as a wide range of other Java applications for business or personal use. Five games come preloaded in the phone, and it also supports the Mophun™ games programs. When you need new games or applications, then it is possible to download these via WAP.
With fast data transfer using GPRS and HSCSD technology, the Sony Ericsson T610 provides you with mobile surfing of the Internet using its cHTML browser. The phone also includes a full e-mail client service for the sending and receiving of e-mails using the standard POP3, IMAP4 and SMTP protocols.
The Sony Ericsson T610 has the technology for good wireless connectivity via either infrared or Bluetooth™ interface systems, and it will link up with other Bluetooth mobile phones and devices within a 10-metre range. If you prefer it, you can still connect the phone by USB or RS232 cable connectors. Whatever your method of connection, you can easily synchronise your personal data, or share content with other devices, by simply dragging and dropping files from your PC to your phone or vice versa. This phone supports Synchronisation Apple™ and SyncML synchronisation systems.
